In this event, the artist Katrin Steiger is invited to present some of her works at the intersection of textile and performance art. Always linked to spatio-temporal nodes of everyday life appearances, Katrin's works are often strongly site-specific, playing with auras of found objects or circumstances and traveling through a variety of resonant artefacts. A work of art develops and grows in conversation with the artist, who speaks to the process of making, while at the same time allowing the material to speak for itself.
The performative talk Disco Elysium will be followed by a conversation and Q&A moderated by Elaine Bonavia.
The event will be held in English.
The talk will take place as part of the exhibition “Soft Spaces, Shared Grounds.”
