Photogrammetry Crash Course: Introduction and Best Practices for 3D Scanning Photography

This 4-hour crash course is a guided introduction to photogrammetry, covering everything from what it is, basic principles and common uses to image capture and 3D model creation. Through a live, start-to-finish demonstration, participants will learn how to choose subjects, take effective photos, prepare them, and generate detailed models—no prior experience required.

Participation is possible with binding registration by May 19 via the following link.
The event will be held in English.
Optional: Bring a smart phone or a windows laptop with a registered Epic account and Reality Capture and IrfranView installed.
The workshop will take place as part of the exhibition “Soft Spaces, Shared Grounds.”

Bio

Li Gabriel founded the Vimune initiative, dedicated to the digitisation of public sculpture for archival, research, and educational use. Having scanned over 200 works themself, they have developed an efficient, accessible workflow for photogrammetry and continue to explore its potential for preserving and reinterpreting cultural memory.
