Cookies & Screens presents an artist talk with Sarah Fitterer. Sarah will give us a behind-the-scenes look at her work and introduce the various techniques and technologies she uses in her artistic practice. The evening will conclude with a Q&A session.
Sarah Fitterer is a researcher and artist based in Berlin. Her work explores how political and financial ideologies are reproduced in mediums such as neural networks, food, or (more-than-)human relationships. Currently, she is an MA student at „Design & Computation“ at TU & UdK Berlin. Artistically, she produces interactive multimedia installations, workshops, and films, all characterized by a provocative playfulness and originating from interdisciplinary collaborations.
She works with a great diversity of institutions such as _v2 Rotterdam, Sonic Acts Amsterdam, Video Power Maastricht, the Beijing International Short Film Festival and the Helsinki International Film Festival. Her articles are published by VOLUME Magazine, Ecoes Magazine and the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin and she teaches and speaks about AI at Jan van Eyck Academie Maastricht, mur.at Graz, the Dutch Innovation Days or the Kunsthochschule Braunschweig.
